I hope all of you are having a wonderful time spent with family over the holidays. There’s still much planning to do when New Year’s Eve is also around the corner. Throw a party to be sure you enjoy your time with family and friend and get these 5 favorite appetizers for New Years Eve that is easy and savory!
I find my happiness level overflows when I throw a party! I usually host an intimate NYE’s party each year and would have to say it’s the simplest to put together. This menu consists a combination of APPETIZERS, which is filling as you snack and lasts throughout the evening. But what are appetizers without drinks? Pair these two together for a sizzling and bubbly night.
I always start with four of my basic appetizers and one fanciful taste to satisfy my guests palette’s.
5 Favorite Appetizers for New Years Eve
HOT WINGS– You can make these yourself and modify the flavors, but everyone loves regular hot wings. Buying hot wings pre-cooked, or frozen, they will be easily crisp in the oven in half an hour or less. Just add some celery, and blue cheese on the side. Pair this with an IPA or Pilsner beer of your choice for smooth sailing.

Once you’ve got these rolls in the oven for about 20 minutes, they will be ready to melt in your mouth. Pair this with a glass of red wine (Cabernet or Merlot) of your choice.

Talk about melting, it’s not a party until the ultimate dip makes an entrance.
SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP– You can slow it down and cook this appetizer from Taste and Tell in the crockpot. I love simple recipes where you just throw all the ingredients into one crockpot and have such a tasteful outcome.
You won’t regret this melting pot of goodness! Pair this with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc or sparkling wine.

Stick them on, and they’re ready to eat! Pair this with a chardonnay of your choice.

Once your palate is cleansed, finish off with a more fanciful taste.
I surely enjoy this appetizer from time to time. It’s easy preparation allows me to make and serve these mini crab cakes in minutes! Pair this with a light Pale Ale or Lager beer.

I’m no food or drink expert, but from my experiences these pairings are delicious. I hope you enjoy them, too. Good food and good friends is a great way to ring in the new year with happiness and joy!
